Fun Fact
World renowned writer and film critic, Roger Ebert was born and raised in Urbana, living at 407 West Washington Street, which he referred to as, “… the center of the universe.” He graduated from Urbana High School in 1960, and during his high school years, he wrote for the News-Gazette, winning recognition for his sports writing. As a senior, he became editor-in-chief of the high school newspaper, the Echo, and was class president. Roger Ebert’s life was rich, and it all started in Urbana.

Rigg’s Beer Company is located at 1501 High Cross Road in east Urbana. This family-friendly, beer garden focuses on year-round events, as well as state-of-the-art and unique craft beer. A variety of food trucks are always on-hand to give a variety of cuisine to those who visit the gardens.
Sipyard is the only beer garden in the area that serves on tap from a recycled shipping container. The space is shared with an outdoor graffiti gallery that complete with ample seating and a wonderful soundstage. The season runs from April to November,
CU Adventures in Time & Space has action-packed escape rooms, virtual rooms, puzzle shirts (an escape room in a shirt), and a wonderful store. CU Adventures offers theatrical immersive experiences unlike anything you have experienced before.
