Advice for New Residents: When I meet people moving to the area, I always ask them what they are interested in and encourage them to look into the various things Champaign-Urbana has to offer in those areas. I’d love to be the one to hear what they like and connect them with the people, places, etc. that align with that, but I also recognize that I don’t know everything about everything, so I’d point them to the resources where they can find these things. It’s at these places, in these groups, or with these people, that they can find community that will make Champaign-Urbana feel like home.
