Advice for New Residents: Try every restaurant. Take advantage of students being gone in the summer by visiting all the restaurants on campus. Get to know the service staff, you will probably see them regularly. Get involved in community groups. Get on mailing lists. Attend community events. Talk to people you recognize. Take up cycling – it’s a great way to explore the area and see the countryside. Look up event calendars for the Krannert Center, the State Farm Center, and the Virginia Theater.
